Some weddings just hit different.

Tianna and Krishna’s wedding day at the Detroit Institute of Arts was my very first wedding of the season and honestly…what a way to start the year. It felt like stepping into a fairy tale.

The Detroit Institute of Arts is already one of the most stunning wedding venues in Detroit. The architecture, the artwork, the unique spaces. It is the kind of place that makes every moment feel elevated and timeless. But what made this day so unforgettable was not just the setting. It was the people, the love, and the intention behind every part of the celebration.

Tianna and Krishna are truly one of those couples that you meet and instantly understand why so many people love them.

Guests traveled from all over the world to be there. Literally around the globe. Friends and family filled the museum with so much warmth, excitement, and joy as they gathered in Detroit to celebrate these two beginning their marriage.

Getting to hear pieces of their story throughout the day, meeting the people who shaped their lives, and witnessing the way everyone rallied around them, would make anyone fall in love with this couple.

What I loved most about Tianna and Krishna is how present they were with each other.

Wedding days can move quickly but they approached every moment with so much intention. They laughed together, soaked in the excitement around them, and kept the focus exactly where they wanted it. On their love, their people, and the beginning of their life together.

Their families also poured so much heart into the celebration. Every part of the day felt thoughtful and full of meaning. You could feel how proud everyone was of them and how excited they were to witness this moment.

Behind the scenes, an incredible team of vendors helped bring their vision to life, led by the amazing Corinna Johns of Joyful Celebrations, LLC. Corinna and her team truly poured themselves into this wedding. No detail was left untouched. Every element was thoughtful, elegant, and beautifully executed. It was a grand celebration in every sense of the word, yet it still felt completely true to Tianna and Krishna.

Tianna and Krishna are both incredibly accomplished and inspiring people, and it was such an honor to document this moment in their story. A wedding day marks that incredible shift where two people move from engaged to married, from planning and anticipation into the beginning of a whole new chapter together.

Being trusted to photograph that moment will never feel ordinary to me.
