Jacquie + Jordan | Farmhouse Event Center | Flat Rock, MI
I didn’t get to meet Jacquie + Jordan together before their wedding day, so I really didn’t know what to expect from the two of them in person. But I think I learned basically everything I needed to know the second they had their first look.
Jacquie had, understandably, been a little nervous as we were getting her ready, and I watched her completely change once she saw Jordan. She was calmer. She was laughing. She could finally just enjoy herself. And then after the ceremony she was literally BUBBLING with happiness. 😂 Like could not contain it, just-married, ridiculously-happy energy. It was so freaking sweet to watch.
These two actually met at the gym and bonded over fitness, which was woven into their wedding in possibly the most Jacquie + Jordan way ever. Before their first dance, they did a FIRST LIFT. 😂👏🏻 Yes. A lift. At their wedding. Together. I have photographed a lot of weddings and that was definitely a first for me. So fun!!!!
But I loved it because their whole celebration had little pieces like that. Nothing felt like they were doing something simply because that’s what you’re “supposed” to do at a wedding. It was sweet and personal and fun, and the people who mattered most to them were right there for it.
I also loved getting to see Jacquie’s kids with Jordan. She has two teenagers, and you can tell there is so much love and comfort there. Watching the four of them together added another layer to the day that I really loved getting to document.
Mostly though, I kept noticing Jacquie + Jordan.
The way she settled as soon as she was next to him. The way they looked at each other. How comfortable they were together. How freaking HAPPY Jacquie was once they were officially married. 😂 There was no question how excited these two were to be husband and wife.
And maybe that’s the best way to describe their wedding. It was theirs. A first look that changed the entire energy of the day, two teenagers who got to watch their mom marry someone they clearly adore, a first lift because OF COURSE these two needed one 😂, and Jacquie walking around afterward looking like she might actually burst from happiness.
Jacquie + Jordan, I’m so glad I got to be there to document it all. You two are incredibly sweet together, and watching you get to the MARRIED part was so special. 🤍
