Kylie + Caeden | Vista on the Docks | Toledo, OH

Kylie and Caeden's wedding was one I've been so looking forward to, and will remember for a long long time.

I don't even know if I can point to one specific moment because it wasn't just one thing. It was the way they looked at each other. The way they kept finding each other in the middle of the chaos. The way absolutely nothing seemed to steal their joy. They were just genuinely, completely happy to be getting married, and that feeling spread to everyone around them.

Of course, it didn't hurt that they picked an absolutely gorgeous place to celebrate. The views over the water with the city in the background were incredible, and every little detail felt so thoughtful.

Family was woven into every part of the day, too. There were some really meaningful tributes to Caeden's dad, minutes of reflection and thoughtfulness, and then somehow we'd all be laughing again five minutes later. It felt like such an honest picture of what a wedding day really is. A little emotional, a lot of joyful, and full of the people who helped get you there.

And I have to give them credit for one of my favorite reception ideas I've seen in a long time. Every table had a designated captain, complete with their own captain's hat and a handful of surprise responsibilities throughout the night. It had guests cheering each other on, laughing, and actually participating instead of just watching. It was such a simple idea, but it made the whole reception feel even more connected.

By the time the dance floor was filling up and the sun had disappeared, I found myself thinking how lucky I am that this is my job. I get invited into days like this, surrounded by people who love each other so well, and I get to call it work.

Kylie and Caeden, thank you for trusting me to tell this story. It was such a fun day to be part of, and I have a feeling you'll still be smiling when you look back through these photos years from now, just like you were on your wedding day. ❤️
