This one was always going to be a little extra special for me. Trent is the brother of one of my besties, Taylor, so I went into this wedding already knowing and loving a whole bunch of the people who would be there. Taylor is also an incredibly talented photographer herself, so being the person she trusted to document her brother’s wedding felt like a pretty big honor. And after photographing Trent and Breanna’s engagement session, I already knew how much fun these two were going to be on wedding day. They’re just EASY together. Easy to photograph, easy to laugh with, and very clearly crazy about each other.

And their wedding day was so, so good.

There was so much thought put into everything, but what stood out to me more than any of the details was how many people were part of making this day happen. Their families and friends showed up for them in every possible way, and you could tell how important those relationships are to Trent and Bre.

Which brings me to their wedding party because MY GOSH, I had so much fun with this group. A little rowdy, very funny, and down for whatever. Some of my favorite parts of the entire day were just hanging out with all of them, letting things get a little chaotic and photographing everyone being themselves. I laughed a LOT.

But mixed into all of that fun were a couple moments that really got me.

Breanna’s first look with her dad was the first one. I knew it was going to be sweet, but watching the two of them see each other absolutely did me in. They were emotional, I was emotional, everyone was emotional. It was such a small part of the day time-wise, but easily one of the moments I’ll remember most.

And then Breanna walked down the aisle.

For someone who had described herself as not exactly an emotional girly, seeing her get choked up as she walked toward Trent was SO sweet.

And I cannot talk about their ceremony without talking about Breanna’s brother Grant. He officiated, and I don’t know how he could have done a better job. It was personal and meaningful without being overly serious, absolutely hilarious in all the right places, and completely fitting for Trent and Bre.

The rest of the day carried that same energy. So much laughing, so many people who were genuinely thrilled for them, and two people right in the middle of it all having the absolute best time.

I already knew this would be a special wedding for me because of the connection I have to their family, but I think I left loving Trent and Bre even more than I did at the start of the day. It was beautiful, it was a little rowdy, it made me cry more than once, and it was SO much fun.

Trent and Bre, I’m so happy I got to be the one behind the camera for this one. And Taylor, thank you for trusting me with something I know means so much to you. Getting to document your brother’s wedding and your family from this side of the camera was so special!
