When Terry first emailed me to inquire about photographing their wedding, I was immediately struck by the thoughtfulness she put into every detail. The way she described her vision for their day told me everything I needed to know - they were looking for a really intimate, beautiful celebration with just their closest friends and family, and that's exactly what they created.

Terry had every single detail thought out, planned out, and ultimately executed to absolute perfection. This wasn't just a celebration bringing John and Terry together - it was about uniting their families. Their beautiful children were there to celebrate with them, and you could feel how meaningful that was to everyone involved.

What I loved most about their day was how small and intimate it felt. John and Terry really had the chance to spend quality time with all of their guests and thoroughly enjoy every moment. There was no rushing from one thing to the next - just pure celebration and connection.

The wedding took place at one of my favorite venues, the McIntyre, right on the lake with views for days. From the sparkling water to the graceful willow trees to the stunning house itself, everything about this location is so beautiful and thoughtfully designed. It was the perfect backdrop for their elegant celebration.

Terry had hand-picked an amazing vendor team, and you could see how every element came together seamlessly. But one of my favorite moments was the sweet toast John gave before dinner. He talked about all the compromise that went into planning their day and their relationship - it was a little cheeky and fun and so perfectly him. I loved watching how they balance each other out, Terry with her meticulous planning and John with his easy humor.

From their heartfelt ceremony to the joyful reception, every moment felt intentional and filled with love. Watching their families come together, seeing their children celebrate alongside them, and capturing the genuine happiness radiating from John and Terry made this such a special day to document.
