Sometimes I think the universe has a funny way of bringing the right people together at exactly the right moment. Meeting Josh and Taylor feels like what I can only describe as fate now.

I first met Josh when his previous photographer had to cancel on him for their proposal, and I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Josh hired me to photograph his surprise proposal and the most beautiful mini engagement session, and that eventually led to this incredible wedding day. When they reached out to inquire about their wedding photography, I don't know if I've ever been more excited to say yes.

Taylor is a photographer herself with the most creative eye, and I am just truly so honored that she chose me to capture their special day. There's something so meaningful about a fellow photographer trusting you with their once in a lifetime moments.

Their wedding took place up north at the most gorgeous venue right off the coast of Lake Michigan in Frankfort, Michigan, and I was absolutely thrilled to travel for this one. The setting was absolutely breathtaking - all that gorgeous, bright lakeside light created such a vibrant, joyful atmosphere that perfectly matched the energy of their celebration.

The ceremony was hands down the most emotional ceremony I may have ever witnessed. There was not a dry eye in the place, including my own. Josh and Taylor wrote the most beautiful, perfect vows to each other, and you could feel the love radiating from every single person there. They did a ring warming ceremony where they passed their rings around to every single guest to hold, bless, and put their love and intentions into. Watching each person take a moment with those rings, knowing they were infusing them with their hopes and love for Josh and Taylor's marriage, was just so incredibly touching. By the time those rings made it back to them, they carried the love and blessings of everyone who mattered most.

This was truly an intimate celebration with their closest friends and family, and you could tell that every detail was Taylor's vision brought to life by their families. The love and care that went into every moment was so evident.

I really hope that these photos convey even a fraction of the joy that just emanated from the entire day. The bright, sun-drenched setting gave everything such a luminous, happy feel that I think captures exactly how this day felt - pure sunshine and joy.
