Every wedding is a little different, but this one was a first for me.

Bryce's sister is an incredibly talented photographer. When it came time to plan their wedding, they came up with such an amazing way to let her be both an amazing photographer, sister, and friend. She photographed the first part of the day...getting ready, their first look, all those quiet moments before everything officially began. The moments only a sister could capture because she knows them so well.

Then, just before the ceremony, I stepped in.

From that point on, she got to put her camera down, be present, sit with her family, watch her brother get married, laugh through the speeches, dance at the reception, and just enjoy the day.

I honestly loved it.

There was never a moment where it felt like anyone was missing out. Bryce and Nicole have beautiful memories from every part of the day, and Bryce's sister got to be exactly where she belonged when they said their vows.

The ceremony was full of happy tears, huge smiles, and a whole lot of excitement. You could tell this wasn't just another Saturday for their families. People had been looking forward to this day for a long time.

And then there was Jackson.

I'm pretty sure weddings are ruined for him forever because I don't know how any other celebration is ever going to top this one.

He was EVERYWHERE.

Helping me take pictures. Making everyone laugh during portraits. Owning the dance floor. Serenading the entire reception like he was the night's headline act. Every time I turned around he was doing something that made me laugh.

He was absolutely convinced this party was for him too, and honestly...I was here for it.

The celebration at Strong Roots was exactly what you'd hope for. The room was full, people stayed on the dance floor, conversations spilled out onto the patio, and there was definitely the feeling that nobody wanted it to end.

Bryce and Nicole, thank you for trusting me with such an important part of your day. It was such a privilege to step in exactly when you needed me, celebrate alongside your family, and watch the three of you begin this next chapter together.
