There is something really special about a backyard wedding.

Maybe it's because every tree, every corner, every little detail already means something before the wedding day even begins. It's home. And for Hannah and Logan, home became one of the prettiest wedding venues I've had the chance to photograph.

I honestly couldn't believe everything Hannah's family pulled off. They transformed their property along the River Raisin into the most beautiful place to celebrate, and you could tell how much love went into every single piece of it. It felt like the perfect place for these two to start this next chapter.

The whole day just felt so fun. Decorated golf carts zipped around the property, guests gathered around the food trucks, kids ran through the yard, and everyone settled in for an evening that felt more like one big incredible celebration.

Then came the ceremony.

Hannah and Logan wrote their own vows, and I don't think there was a dry eye...or a straight face. One minute everyone was tearing up, and the next they were laughing right along with them. One of my favorite ceremonies because it felt so honest. A little emotional, a little funny, and completely true to Hannah and Logan.

Their first dance was just as sweet. One of those moments where everything else seemed to fade away for a few minutes while they soaked it all in before the party really got started.

By the end of the night people were dancing, riding around on golf carts, grabbing another bite from the food trucks, and making the most of a perfect summer evening. It felt easy in all the best ways.

Hannah and Logan, thank you for letting me spend the day with you. It was such a beautiful celebration, and I don't think anyone who was there will forget just how much love went into making that backyard the perfect place for you to become husband and wife. Congratulations to you both. ❤️
